Trainees are a screened and trained addition to your production team and can perform DGA duties. All trainees have had classroom-based curriculum that includes: Production forms, call sheets, first aid, SAG, IATSE & Basic Crafts contracts, Safety on set, and staging background action. We also offer several incentive programs to you that may help alleviate some of the costs of hiring a trainee (or multiple!) on your production. Our programs include:

Those interested in joining the program as a Trainee can apply via our online application portal. The application portal is open each fall and can be accessed only on this page of our website. Please note, it is completely free to submit an application and we do not accept physical applications or applications via email. We strongly encourage you to review the instructions PDF (found below) prior to submitting your application. Invitation emails are sent to those Applicants invited to Assessment Center as well as those not moving forward. If you submit an application and do not receive an email around this time, first check your spam folder for an email from mail@dgptp.com. If you are still unable to find an email, please contact us at mail@dgptp.com with the subject line: "2024 Application Status." In the body of the email, state that you did not receive an email notification for your 2024 ADTP application submission. Please also include your name as it appears on your 2024 application and your telephone number. Do not call our office.

Those invited to join the ADTP for the current season will be notified via telephone. We will be sending status letters to all participants via email the same week.
